The NATO-Ukraine Commission extends its deepest condolences to the families and victims of the barbaric acts of terrorism committed against the United States of America on 11 September 2001. These attacks, unprecedented in scale and horror, were directed against the very foundation of democracy and freedom throughout the world.
NATO and Ukraine condemn in the strongest possible terms these atrocities, and stand united in their commitment to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice and punished. In the spirit of its distinctive partnership with NATO, Ukraine stands ready to contribute fully to this effort.
NATO and Ukraine appeal to the entire international community to undertake all measures to combat the scourge of terrorism.
